March 25 Talking about Op-Ed Contributor - Dear A.I.G., I Quit! - NYTimes.comWow--someone with REAL integrity--Mr. DeSantis’ I applaud you. Wish therir were more like you--but you do give a great amount of HOPE that others will stand with you, and give this country the hope it truly needs to survive these times! February 21 Baby shower done--now can shre picsSo it was a late night to finish the last thing--but now that the baby shower is over can share waht is done..and the rest I can post asI finish as they are not true "surprises". Bit tires--long week at work..very long moenth end week next week--so off the the Xbox 360 to puzzle for a bit February 14 She-rant--Girls DO play those games!I like Carsonnnone--board game and Xbox 360 version, Rock Band, Muchkins, Munkinquest, We the people, Puzzle Arcarde, Starship troopers--the old fashioned one with hex graph paper--dungeons and dragons (we bought our first one when it was sold in a ziplock baggie--before they were for food storage)..Richtovans War--i could go on and on--but you'd all get really bored...
I also like Halo (all of em) and GOW2 (others too--but I'll make my point--I hope--with GOW2)
In GOW2--I don't use no sissy gun---I am a damn good sniper--and yeah--I am a girl---girls plays THOSE games too! Very bad of males.... and females to think otherwise..geesh--are othere peeps better than me--you betcha--Am I better than some--yep--but gaming is supposed to be about FUN -- yes it is sometimes more fun if you win--even better if you win big---BUT---if you ain't enjoying it--somethins wrong!-
Guys--did you have sisteres that you made play army with you--they played just as well if not better than some of your guy friends?
Gals--did you have no brothers--reverse the above--didn't ya love beating the boys at it?
no diff now--
I am a wife, mother, soon to be grandma, quilter, dancer, trying to learn guitar'er (yeah I know its not really a word) have a full time day job, and AVID gamer--get over it all you sissies of both genders--
February 12 finally a quilting project doneIt has been a while, and it is a small project--but finally. I have some baby stuff to amke for a soon to be born grandaughter-Abby--but another step back to normalcy
And for those diabetics amongst you--a finger prick while quilting (I hand quilt most things) has an entirely new response--instead of reaching for a tissue--yep-- you guessed--I reach for the meter--let no blood go wasted! :-) Quilting on a Budget: OttLite GiveAway!WOW—talk about nice! A chance to win a free OTTLite! I will take as many chances as I can—and for those of you with eye issues—these things really help! and well for us quilters—you can’t have too many—one in every room at least-- (yes wishful thinking on my part—or maybe goal?)
Anyway—hope on over to see how you too can enter to win..you won’t be sorry—unless you don’t win because you don’t enter :-) February 06 Random RantsI am home sick because even though I work for a company with paid sick days--sick people still come to work. SICK PEOPLE---STAY HOME---I DO NOT appreciate you sharing!
Will SOMEONE PLEASE tame the password beast! I hate password reset because I don't remember the password...and you lovingly set your site to kill my remembered one....I HATE password management----there has to be a better way!
And I still want to be able to blog once and be able to have it go to all my socail sites...this probably can be done but I haven't found out how and no-one has offered up a solution for me....
I hate insurance companies that require a letter of medical neccessity--thats what the freaking prescription is for---the doctor prescribed it because it is neccessary! Geesh.

SOA Infrastructure Blog: Cloud Computing... It Depends on Who You Ask So this is one of the better and easier to understand visualizations I have seen and thought it deserved to be shared I will be a happy camper when I (I realize our household has more than an average number of computers) don’t have to manage all the updates to the programs we use, and know which freaking cds/dvds go to which bloody computers! Can pay a monthly fee and all my computers get what they need when they need it! And for us it all started with a TRS 80—before there was a tape drive) yes—learned punch cards—and those old obscure programming languages in computer club in high school—our high school in China Lake (yeah-the middle of no damn where back then—prob still) was lucky to have a BErkley link computer—HUGE sucker that took enormous rooms to run---magnetic reels and punch cards—those were the days….gladly left behind—dumping a tray of punch cards (especially if you were STOOPID and didn’t number them, really sucked rocks!) much better now—but still plenty of room for improvement!
